“Faro de Cullera” Hotel

Cullera is a coastal city with a privileged climate, located 40 km south of Valencia. The land is located next to the Lighthouse, in a cliff over the sea with privileged views of it. The project consists of a boutique hotel that contains 28 rooms, a restaurant with panoramic views and a spa service.

Taking advantage of the conditions of the terrain, the building's access facade literally emerges above street level through a simple and opaque volume. In this way, the landscape is hidden, which will emerge by surprise when entering the hotel reception. On the other hand, the facade facing the sea is permeable, with a materiality of glass and wood, generating great views of the sea.

For the materiality of the hotel, neutral tones are chosen with wooden surfaces and natural textures that highlight the value of the landscape. In addition, use is made of lighting and furniture to adapt the character of the different environments.

The reception presents a fresh and welcoming atmosphere, with a central sofa piece that defines a dynamic and informal space without overshadowing the surroundings. The spa area seeks to convey an environment of relaxation linked to the sea, while the restaurant has a large terrace suspended from the cliff to enjoy the sunset and contemplate the reflections of the sky on the water.
