Description
Nova Fenicia Resort proposes a coastal hotel complex in Fortaleza, Brazil, conceived for a tourist experience tied to the tropical landscape, the sea and rest. On a 25,860 m² plot, it organises 83 rooms alongside shared spaces for leisure, dining, sport and wellness.
The programme combines accommodation, a clubhouse, lobby, restaurants, retail areas, a pool, an outdoor bar, gym, spa and thalassotherapy. The aim is a compact yet complete resort, able to work as a self-contained destination and to offer a continuous sequence from room to garden, pool, beach and sea.
The architecture is horizontal, open and permeable, integrated into the tropical vegetation. Lightweight roofs, terraces and sheltered outdoor spaces reinforce the relationship with the climate and allow most of the hotel's life to take place in contact with the landscape. Its material palette combines timber, pitched roofs and warm tones that converse with the sand and vegetation, while the routes lead the guest naturally from the air-conditioned interior to the shaded areas, the gardens and the shore.
Rather than concentrating the programme in a single volume, the project distributes the built pieces around gardens and shared areas, favouring gentle routes, open views and a stay associated with comfort, privacy and connection with the setting. The result is an enclave of hospitality integrated into the Brazilian coastline, with a warm image tied to the climate culture of the place.
